Thousands of years ago, seven sentient species met on a neutral planet, Mithalauro. Each race had traveled hundreds of years through space to embark upon an experiment that would change the galaxy.
These seven races combined the strengths of each of their kind. Many attempts in the beginning failed. As they grew closer to their ideal achievement, they would destroy their failures. Why would they do this? Documentation from their reports back to their home plaents revealed they needed to put the results of their efforst of of its misery. Other times, the safety of the galaxy could not be guaranteed with the temperament of the fruits of their labors.
Debates arose as to the ethics of these mercy killings, and war between some of the races almost came to pass. In the end, a new race was formed: The Aenigma.
As the Aenigma began to reproduce and the experiment was declared a success and the planet Mithalauro was given to this new species. They labeled themselves ‘the servants who ruled the galaxy.’ As the centuries passed, the Aenigma created many inventions to unite the seven worlds, and find many other sentient species.
After a few millennia, the Aenigma modified their adage: We are the servants who rule the Consortium.
