Oblivion’s Hope
In the far reaches of the galaxy, where ecosystems sprawl across planets of fire, ice, and endless oceans, the survival of countless species teeters on the brink. Oblivion’s Hope is a specialized team of intergalactic zoologists and ecologists, handpicked by the Siron—the enigmatic and ancient ruling entity of the Consortium, the galaxy’s governing body. Their mission: to identify, protect, and preserve endangered species across the cosmos, often at great personal risk.
Jad Canon

Oblivion’s Hope, Director
Jad has lived an entitled life: he’s smart, rich, handsome and the Consortium gives him everything he needs. After all, everyone thinks the Consortium is at fault for the accident that killed his parents. Although only out of college a couple of years, Jad receives a grant to run Oblivion’s Hope, a team of advocates for oblivion species who are not sentient. Never has anyone so young been given the directorship of a program like this. Unfortunately, the team Jad hires does not respect him for his playful way of running things.
Phia Singleton

Oblivion’s Hope, Sentience Specialist
Intelligent and attractive, Phia attended Estremmons Academy of Zoology with Jad Canon. While Jad was a party boy, Phia studied hard just to keep up with him. While she resents everything handed to him on a silver spoon, she does find him attractive and fights her feelings for him when they start working together. As the Sentience Specialist for Oblivion’s Hope, Phia determines whether or not a species is sentient or oblivion.
Seeby

Jad’s pet Questica
Sebastian, or Seeby for short, was aboard the ship that killed Jad’s parents. Jad, only a nine-year-old when the ship crashed survived–along with Seeby. That’s when the two become best friends. Even though he accompanies Jad over the years as his faithful oblivion friend and pet, Seeby has some big secrets he may be forced to reveal.
DekerHaBeker

Oblivion’s Hope, Captain of the Menagerie
Deker pilots the ship that is home to the Oblivion’s Hope team. He is a member of the mysterious Aenigma race, which means he can steer the ship through the WhereHow dimension as well as regular space. Being an Aenigma also means he is straightforward and speaks his mind with no irony. Because he is captain of the ship, Deker’s role blurs the line between who is really in charge of Oblivion’s Hope: himself or Jad?
Zamo

Oblivion’s Hope, Trapper
Zamo, a member of the catlike Felonian race, was made to be a trapper of oblivion species. She loves her job and uses more traditional methods to rescue an Ekood from a deep pit or a Soralerah being attacked by something higher in the food chain. Whether it’s a net or a cage, she knows how to trap oblivion species and release them where they’ll be safe. She and Jad have worked together for a couple of years and is one of the few members of the team he can confide in.
Torke Ob Ecoid

Oblivion’s Hope, Trapper
Torke, a daxoid, is an organic brain trapped in a mechanical body. Jad hired Torke to use less traditional methods to rescue oblivion species–which sometimes mean more controversial methods. He doesn’t really know how to relate with other sentient beings and relates to the others on the team in nonsense statements. But they have learned to appreciate his eccentricities.
Dr. Gos Benoms

Oblivion’s Hope, Multi-Species Physician
Though he is only two feet tall, Dr. Benoms is looked up to by the younger members of the team as a source of assurance and wisdom. Hoping to retire soon, Dr. Benoms can only hope he survives the crazy scenarios Jad Canon gets the team into before that time comes.
